Athlete Assessments’ DISC

Dr. Wagener is trained and accredited in the use of Athlete Assessments’ suite of DISC Profiling tools.

DISC Profiling’s primary purpose is to develop self-awareness and provide a framework to understand others, with the goal of building effective relationships with them. Athlete Assessments’ DISC Profiles are specifically tailored to sport and provide you with the opportunity to:

  • Develop self-awareness

  • Improve communication

  • Foster productive relationships

  • Tailor your coaching or leadership

  • Build strong team chemistry

  • Be effective with team role allocation

  • Make informed recruitment decisions

  • Deliver best practice leadership training

These reports are the world’s first and only validated and reliable DISC Profiles developed specifically for use in sport, with the AthleteDISC available for athletes and players; the CoachDISC for coaches and trainers, and the Sports ManagerDISC for sports professionals and administrators. Each type of profile has been written for athletes, coaches, or sports professionals to understand, apply, and get results within the context of their environment.

DISC Profiling is the fastest and most effective way to develop the ‘people side’ of your program, each individual is required to complete a 12-minute online survey which results in a personalized 40-page DISC Profile Report, along with group Team Dynamic Reports and summaries available for use. Each individual’s DISC Profile report details their personal style, strengths, limiting behaviors, communication preferences, and the environment they perform best in. It allows both the individual as well as those who work with them, to gain valuable insights into their preferred way of behaving, ultimately fast-tracking their abilities to communicate effectively, enhance performance, and achieve the best outcomes.

Process Communication Model (PCM)

The Process Communication Model® (PCM) is an award-winning tool for decoding human interaction, developed by clinical psychologist, Dr. Taibi Kahler. By practicing PCM, we can observe and identify our own and other people's preferences. This enables all of us to recognize each other's different personalities and needs. PCM is practiced in 54 countries by renowned brands such as NASA, l'Oréal, Pixar and BMW, as well as educational and governmental institutions.

The PCM will help you connect, collaborate, understand strengths and distress patterns with yourself and others.

Be aware of your personality
Understanding your preferences means knowing what you need to be in a good place. It will help you to manage your stress and take care of yourself.

Recognize what other people do, say, and show
Observing other people's recognizable behavior reveals their preferences and the best way to approach them.
Adapt your communication style
Based on what you observe, you will know what to do, say, and show, so that you can make a genuine connection that works for you both.

Build stronger relationships
With positive daily interactions at work, on the field, in meetings, video calls, presentations, social situations - and at home too.
